INFORMATION FOR TRAINERS/ASSESSORS

Every trainer or assessor who works for a Qualisure training provider must be registered on the Qualisure Trainer and Assessor register.

The cost to be registered as a Qualisure trainer or assessor is £20 plus VAT per year. Please read the documents at the bottom of this page carefully before signing up.

A Qualisure Trainer or Assessor must have a portfolio that contains the documentation listed below. You will be asked to upload this when completing the signup form.

First Aid Certificate

Current First Aid at Work (FAW) certificate or equivalent, for example, FPOS. Exemption from having an FAW certificate applies to those registered with their relevant body, such as doctors, nurses, or paramedics. For any exemption to apply, the person must have evidence of current First Aid knowledge. A Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate is required if offering Paediatric First Aid training.

Number of Courses Taught

List of First Aid courses taught each year for the past three years, including FAW, EFAW, PFA, and EPFA. This should show a minimum of six First Aid courses. If you are a new trainer, you should have evidence that you have conducted up to two practical and two theoretical training or assessment sessions under a qualified assessor.

Teaching Qualification

A formal teaching or training qualification and an assessing qualification, if not already covered by the teaching qualification

Annual Monitoring

A monitoring report for each year over the past three years.

Insurance

An insurance certificate covering professional indemnity and public liability.

Assessing Qualification

A formal assessing qualification, if not already covered by the teaching qualification.

You should also be familiar with and able to use Qualisure lesson plans, Qualisure assessment papers, and Qualisure question papers. You should be able to confirm that you cover all elements of assessment for each Qualisure qualification you teach.

We would also expect you to use Qualisure books as well as the PowerPoints linked to the books.
