Blended learning provides flexibility for organisations and individuals aiming to achieve a recognised Quality or Compliance qualification. This learning approach allows convenience but may not suit every learner or employer. It must not reduce the total learning hours required by UK regulatory authorities.<\/span><\/p>

Under the Management of Health & Safety Regulations 1999 (Regulation 13), employers must allow paid time for employees. They must complete required training during paid hours. Employees should never be asked to complete an online study in their personal time.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Blended Learning Assessment Requirements \u2013 Theory (Online Learning)<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

To deliver a Qualisure-approved blended learning course, the Training Provider must use an approved online learning system. This ensures that all non-practical learning objectives are fully met. Online learning systems must be re-approved by The Qualisure Awards when new updates or guidance are issued.<\/span><\/p>

Training Providers must confirm that students can use the required technology for online study. They must also provide full technical and learner support during the course. A secure system must verify student identity and prevent misuse or fraud.<\/span><\/p>

Students must complete a secure multiple-choice assessment during online learning. This demonstrates their knowledge and understanding of the course material. Completion times should reflect classroom standards, in line with Qualisure Awards requirements. Assessments may be taken throughout or at the end of the online section. All results must be stored securely and available to The Qualisure Awards if requested.<\/span><\/p>

Auditable evidence must be produced as a certificate or approved documentation. This proof confirms that the student has completed the online element successfully. It also shows they achieved all Qualisure learning outcomes for the non-practical qualification parts.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Practical training and assessment must always occur in person, as recommended by UK regulatory bodies. After finishing the online theory, the face-to-face part teaches and assesses the remaining Qualisure outcomes. These outcomes relate to practical skills required for the final qualification.<\/span><\/p>

There is flexibility in how much theory is delivered online. The table below shows the minimum required classroom hours for each regulated course.<\/span><\/p>

Whether these hours are suitable depends on the learners\u2019 individual needs and abilities.<\/span><\/p>

The Training Provider, in consultation with the employer or client, must review this. However, the Training Provider has the final authority to decide if blended learning is suitable. They must also identify the minimum face-to-face contact hours for each course.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
